Bishop Guertin rallied from a big halftime deficit with a 15-3 3rd quarter sparked by point guard Steve Toscano and a nice move to a 2-2-1 full court press by head coach Jim Migneault. The zone seemed to throw a Spaulding team known for their precision completely out of sync and when all-state forward Dominic Paradis fouled out with three minutes remaining the 3rd seed could not hold on. In a game that wasn't decided until Jeff Lunn buried two free throws with 2.9 seconds left a Bishop Guertin team thought by many to be too young to get to the Division I final four is now a step beyond it. They will play Trinity Saturday afternoon at 3 o'clock for the school's second title in three years. "These kids just never stopped working, "said Migneault. " They just refused to lose." Toscano scored 19 points while Lunn added 12 points and 11 rebounds. Pete Tarrier & Jon Kesty bring you all the play by play, highlights and post-game interviews with Jim Migneault, Jeff Lunn, Kyle Gavin (10 pts.) and Steve Toscano.
