Hopkinton is getting pretty good at this come from behind thing, and they are moving on to the Division III championship game because of it. After players' lounge member Devin Springfield gave Conant a 3-2 lead in the top of the 3rd inning Hopkinton held the Orioles in check behind ace Sam Bonifant (7 IP, 8 SO, 5 H 1 BB) the rest of the way. The Hawks still trailed by a single run until Steve Auger's two out two run single off of Springfield in the 6th inning put them on top to stay 4-3. Bonifant finished off Conant in their final at bat and Hopkinton now moves on to face Campbell in this weekend's final. Auger and Jay White each collected two hits for the Hawks while Sam McManus and Colin O'Keeffe each knocked in runs for the top seed.
