The Portsmouth Clippers are Division I champions

Today we complete our Adrenaline Fundraising All-State selections with Division I.

We’d like to begin by recognizing the ten Division I coaches who supported the work of Jen, Jon, Pete, Justin, Eliot & I as Gold Level members:

Brian Lynch (Alvirne), Dave Keefe (Central), Jim Mulvey (Portsmouth), Matt Regan (Bishop Guertin), Rob McLaughlin (Salem), Mark Elmendorf (Bedford), Jay McKenna (Winnacunnet) Jeff Holmes (Exeter), Dave Chase (Concord) & Nate Stanton (Londonderry)

Thank you as well to the families that supported our efforts as registered members. Players below have an * next to their names from families that supported our hard work.

 First Team All-State

 Joey Glynn of Portsmouth

 Cal Connelly of Spaulding *

 Ian Cummings of Merrimack

 Jake Coleman of Londonderry

 Cody Morissette of Exeter *

 Second Team

Cody Graham of Portsmouth *

Alonzo Linton of Nashua North

Liam Viviano of Winnacunnet *

 Third Team

 Griffin Curtis of Salem *

 Matt Giroux of Concord

 Kevin Genao of Nashua South

 Max Bonney-Liles of Alvirne

Jake Carrier of Manchester Memorial *

Comments: I had a harder time with this list than the other three combined. First of all Cody Graham should be on first team, remember he led Portsmouth to a 5-0 record when Joey Glynn was out injured. But who am I taking out of that first five? Galanes and Giroux are two very good players who would be higher if their teams had made the tournament. Linton was as good as any player over the second half but was up & down over the first half of the season. When he took off so did Nashua North..great scorer. Max Chartier reminds me of Matt Rizzo and that’s a high compliment. The last third team pick was really difficult as it came down to Carrier and Steve Natola….really difficult.

Player of the Year: Joey Glynn

If you drafted a team of players from Division I he is your first pick. Glynn finished his career with a terrific final four in Durham.

Runner-up: Cal Connelly

Sclyler Boykin of Nashua North

Coach of the year: Mark Elmendorf of Bedford

Yes there was a lot of talent and always will be but to replace five starters and go all the way to the final Saturday is very impressive. This was a very good coaching job.

 Runner-up: Tim Goodridge of Merrimack
