T-10. Bedford, 4-3 (4) NR

Other receiving votes

Manchester Central, (2), 9th

Here's how I voted...

1. Salem...if Salem can survive it's final 2 regular season games against Nashua North this week & Londonderry on October 27th the Blue Devils will clinch the number 1 seed in the Division 1 South/West playoff cluster.  The Blue Devils got a big boost in making that happen when star running back Josh Sibanda returned last week from a knee injury suffered in Week 3 vs Pinkerton.

2. Winnacunnet...the Warriors continued to dominate the competition last week in a 56-8 thumping of Portsmouth that clinched the East conference regular season title.  It's the 1st playoff appearance for the Beach Boys since they won it all back in 2012 when they were in Division 2.  Interesting game this Friday night in Manchester when Winnacunnet travels to take on Central.

3. Plymouth...the Bobcats were on a bye last week and they take their 6-0 record into the final 2 weeks of the regular season with games at Lebanon on Friday night & versus Milford on Saturday the 28th.  The defending champs might be even better this year than the team that won it all last season, especially on offense where they have a lot more weapons now.

4. Goffstown...the Grizzlies defense was once again the story last weekend as they were able to slow down the high octane offense of the Manchester Central Little Green in a 29-12 win at Gill Stadium.  And the 12 points Central did score against Goffstown came on a game-opening kickoff return TD and on a short field after a 1st half turnover.

5. Pinkerton...the Astros are quietly having a really good season.  Seems strange to say that about Pinkerton, but with all the talk about Salem, Winnacunnet & Goffstown in D1, I just don't hear a lot of people mentioning Brian O'Reilly's team as a Championship contender.

6. Windham...it should be fun next year to watch Windham move up to play a Division 1 schedule.  I've been saying for years that the Jags can compete with the big boys of New Hampshire high school football.  Now we'll find out if that's really true!

7. Exeter...much like Pinkerton, the Blue Hawks are another team that is kind of laying in the weeds.  Exeter had that 2 game losing streak when they lost to Goffstown & Winnacunnet in mid-September, but that seems like a loooooooong time ago as Exeter is going to be a tough out for whoever they play in the playoffs.

8. Londonderry...the Lancers just clinched a playoff spot last week and it's a good thing they did because their final 2 regular season games are pretty tough with Nashua South this Friday night and then Salem on October 27th.

9. Campbell...the Cougars mauled previously unbeaten Somersworth last Friday night, taking control in the 2nd half of a 47-14 win.  I've been trumpeting the virtues of Campbell for a few weeks, and now It seems the other voters are finally starting to take notice as they garnered 4 votes this week to gain a tie for the 10th spot after not cracking the poll this season.

10. Manchester Central...I almost voted for Nashua South in this spot, but I'm keeping Central in for at least 1 more week despite the loss to Goffstown.  I'm very interested to see how the Little Green fare against Winnacunnet on Friday night.  I think Central will be able to score on the Warriors but will their defense be able to keep Winny's offense in check?
