(14) Mascoma at (3) Stevens

 Michael Felger once wrote a great book, yes Felger used to write, called ‘Tales from the Patriots Sideline’. With what I hear you might be able to write a similar book on the 2017 Stevens basketball team but this is a team that has taken care of business. Finishing the regular season as the third best team in Division III not only in the standings but in the all-important eye test.

 Tomorrow night they’ll need to try and contain the best guard in the division in Alex Schwarz, who went for 42 pints against this Cardinal team last Friday night in the season finale.

 Stevens gets their scoring from a number of different players as Noah Spaulding (13.2), Parker Smith (11.2) and Zach O’Brien (10.7) all averaged in double figures for the season.

 This is a group that made a dramatic run to the football championship and they have the talent to do it again in basketball. Mascoma though is a scary lower seed with the best player on the floor, a veteran coach in Jim Barry who knows how to win in the post-season and shooters like Devin Duhaime, who can be dangerous when he gets a shooting rhythm going.
