Salem will play in the championship on Saturday after defeating the defending champs Portsmouth 40-26. The Blue Devils used stellar defense to lock down the Clippers offense and leading scorer Alex Tavares who had 3 points. Salem took an 8 point lead into the third quarter and then didn't allow Portsmouth to score at all in the fourth quarter to cruise to the victory. Kyle Poulin and Zack Caraballo led Salem with 13 and 10 points a piece. Salem will play Exeter for the Division 1 championship at 3 pm on Saturday.
