The only Power Poll that really matters is what's inside McIsaac's head

Odds are, this was a TD pass.

It's back! The best listicle in NH, the McIsaac Top 10! And I'd like to announce that this year, Jen Chick-Ruth is a Top 10 voter!

(46 minutes later)

Oops, Austin Grass had a giant screaming fit about that decision, so Jen's out. I guess she had a slice of pizza in a media press box once, and THAT CAN'T BE ALLOWED.

The Top 10 is brought to you by TJ’S in Portsmouth! My absolute favorite spot in Portsmouth to catch a game. Tell Bethany that McIsaac sent you.

10. EXETER PASSES NOW

6 attempts, 4 completions, 3 TD’s for Ryan Grijalva, that’s basically the Exeter’s version of the Run and Shoot. Exeter has outscored opponents 119-20 through 3 games, in case you thought the Blue Hawks missing the playoffs last year was going to be a trend.

9. AS IN 9 TD PASSES… IN A LOSS

UCLA trailed Washington State 49-17 late in the 3rd quarter and then scored FIFTY POINTS OVER THE NEXT 19 MINUTES in some extremely Pac 12 after dark stuff to win 67-63 in a game that neither went to OT nor was basketball. Wazzu’s QB Anthony Gordon had a line of :

C/ATT    YDS        AVG       TD           INT         QBR

Anthony Gordon              41/61     570         9.3          9              2              84.3

Whereas UCLA’s QB had a downright pedestrian line of:

C/ATT    YDS        AVG       TD           INT         QBR

Dorian Thompson-Robinson       25/38     507         13.3        5              1              73.8

Good W (I think? If you give up 63 is that a good W?) for our guy Chip Kelly and the Bruins. Tough to throw 9 TD’s and take an L though/

8. ALVIRNE SQUEAKS ONE OUT

GOING FOR TWO FOR THE WIN!!! I love it! Great W for the Broncos to bounce back from a close loss to STA last week. The schedule loosens up a bit for the Broncos over the next few weeks before a big matchup with HB at the end of October

7. AS IN 7 DIFFERENT SCORERS FOR BOW

49-0 over John Stark, which feels unfair since John Stark is just one guy, and Bow had 11 out there. (Editors Note: we’ve told him 100 times that the school is just NAMED after John Stark, he still doesn’t understand).  Bow really spread it around, and they look like they might not be tested until a 10/25 game at Kennett

6. MILFORD NEEDED OT TO GET BY THE SNAKES

We know two things about Pelham – whenever they’re mentioned, I’ll fall into the Matt Regan voice, and they play suffocating defense in football year in and year out. So while I picked Milford to win, I didn’t think it was gonna be easy for the Spartans, and it certainly wasn’t, needing  Logan Barnhill to intercept a Python 2 point conversion attempt in OT to seal a W.

5. THE OVER HYPING OF ELI MANNING IS OVER, LET THE OVER HYPING OF DANIEL JONES BEGIN

Eli Manning was a perfectly average QB who rode a great defense and some incredible luck to a pair of SB wins. Since he played in NY, of course, this made him a god. Let’s not forget that he’s a crook and had his daddy throw a fit to make sure he didn’t have to play in San Diego.

Now that Daniel Jones had one good game against a terrible Bucs team, he’s the new king of NY. Expect Eli to pout his way off the team within 3 weeks…

4. THE UNSTOPPABLE JUGGERNAUT KNOWN AS THE SPAULDING RED RAIDERS

FIRST WIN OVER WINNACUNNET IN 6 YEARS! RYAN LANE CAN’T BE CONTAINED! LOGAN GADBOIS IS LIKE 6 TOM BRADYS! HUDSON WHITE WOULD KNOCK AARON DONALD INTO NEXT WEEK!

This isn’t the Spaulding you’re used to, they run a fun offense and have talented playmakers. They’ll be in every game, and Kevin Hebert and his staff will have them poised to ruin your night if you’re not careful.

(Best wishes to Garret Langis, who left the game via ambulance on Friday, hopefully, he’s back soon)

3. I’M A LITTLE CONCERNED ABOUT 129357 GUYS GETTING HURT FOR THE PATS YESTERDAY

Edleman, Flash, Hightower… that’s the ones I know about. Any time you have guys named “Gunner” lined up at WR, that’s not great. Luckily the first 8 weeks are an extended preseason for the Pats, but still.

2. 21 BEATS THE HOUSE

21 being Jason Hughes, former Timberlane Owl and current UNH Wildcat, who sent the Durham crowd home happy, booting a 30 yard FG at the gun for a 27-24 UNH win over Rhode Island on Saturday night. The Cats looked like they might blow a 2nd half lead for the 3rd straight game, after leading by 14 to start the 4th quarter, but a great Max Brosmer 2 minute drive got the Cats in FG range, and Hughes did the rest to get UNH their first W this year.

1. LEBANON SHOCKS THE D3 WORLD

Nobody, and I mean NOBODY thought the Raiders were going to go into Swanzey and hand the champs their lunch, but that’s exactly what Lebanon did, as seen on NHSportspage . You might’ve picked Lebanon to win, but you’re a dirty liar if you saw Lebanon putting up 5 TD’s in the 2nd quarter on Monadnock. A great win for Lebanon, who must be considered a favorite to get deep into the playoffs now.

ALSO RECEIVING VOTES: Good win for BG over Portsmouth, Windham is on the board with a W, Boise is 3-0, Remember when people thought the Jets would make the playoffs?
