5 new candidates are up for this week!

We are back after a great showing of girls basketball across all four divisions this past week.

This week marks our second Buffalo Wild Wings Girls Basketball Player of the Week Poll.

After each week's slate of games, candidates for the award will be posted. Voting will go until Wednesday at midnight and the winner will be named on Thursday.

Each winner will receive an NHSportspage t-shirt and a Buffalo Wild Wings gift certificate!

Week 1 winner: Brianna Filion of Newmarket and Maurgan McGrath of Hopkinton

 Here are this week's candidates..

Kelly Walsh of Goffstown: Walsh has been on an absolute tear to start the season. Kelly became the all-time leading scorer at Goffstown in a Friday contest against Keene and scored a game-high 30 points to capture a 47-34 win over the Blackbirds.

Avery Stewart of Fall Mountain: Fall Mountain made a statement last Friday and picked up a great victory over Hopkinton 59-31. Stewart has been tremendous all year and led the charge with a game-high 17 points.

Olivia Sarkis of Woodsville: The Engineers closed out a tight game on the road over Epping in a game that we covered and Olivia Sarkis was the calming factor scoring 20 points and keeping Woodsville's unbeaten streak alive with a 47-30 victory over the Blue Devils.

Christina Balsamo of Hollis-Brookline: The Cavaliers remained unbeaten after a 49-42 victory over Bow. Balsamo has shown the ability to score the basketball all season long and Friday was no different as she had a game-high 21 points in the contest.

Avah Ingalls of Pinkerton: The Astros faced off with Salem last Friday and Pinkerton picked up a great 47-43 victory over the Blue Devils. Ingalls scored a season-high 25 points and has continued to impress during her sophomore campaign.
