Two of the top teams in Division 1 Merrimack and Pinkerton battled it out on Friday night and was a closely contested game going into halftime. The Tomahawks took control in the third though including a Theresa Twardosky heave from behind the half court line to end the quarter. Merrimack never looked back and improved their record to 15-2. Twardosky led Merrimack in scoring with 15 points while teammate Riley Crampton added 14. Senior Jesse Ames had 13 points for the Astros.
