Who will be the first player of the week of the season?

Every week we will nominate six candidates for the Buffalo Wild Wings Boys Basketball Player of the Week.

Voting will go from Tuesday at noon until Thursday at 7 am.

Each winner will receive an NHSportspage custom game jersey with their last name and number (pictured above) plus a Buffalo Wild Wings gift certificate from our longtime partners at Buffalo Wild Wings with locations in Manchester, Nashua and Concord, Rochester!

 This Week’s Candidates

Ben Mattioni of Oyster River: The Bobcats shooting guard has gotten off to a hot start in 2021, averaging a Division II leading 28.5 ppg. in the team’s first two games.

Mason Blondeau of Goffstown: The Grizzlies sophomore forward was HUGE in a road upset of pre-season #1 Bishop Guertin, scoring a game-high 27 points.

Mike Cavanaugh of St. Thomas: The Saints shooting guard scored 20 points as his team exploded for 96 in a season-opening victory.

Zack Douville of Franklin: The Golden Tornadoes are off to a 2-0 start and Douville has been huge: scoring a Division IV leading 27 points per game.

Keegan Paradis of Coe-Brown: Jen Chick-Ruth’s alma mater is off to a 3-0 start and Paradis is a big reason why; averaging 21 points per game for the Bears.

Owen Finkelstein of Epping: The Blue Devils all-state shooting guard is off to a hot start; averaging 23 points per game through two games.
