Our 2nd annual senior & underclassman team games are now just two weeks away, so I thought it would be a good time to lay out the schedule for the week and update everyone on our coverage.
We will begin first thing on Monday morning when former Virginia, Notre Dame & Oyster River star Keith Friel joins me on a podcast.
We’ll talk about the week-long events to be held at Epping, Londonderry, and Keith’s alma mater, as well as the history of the New Hampshire senior teams/games.
It will continue later in the week when Lance Legere & I will have a podcast with senior team head coach Cole Etten, underclassman team head coach Nick Fiset, Maine head coach Abi Davids and BABC head Coach Leo Papile.
We want to thank our sponsors for today’s column, Central Maine Community College (view their athletic video above).

A couple of additions to announce;
- Londonderry forward Mike Rosatano has been added to the underclassman roster.
- Goffstown head coach Ryan Cowette has been added to the senior team staff.
The Thursday, May 20th games against Maine (the underclassman game will begin at 6 pm with the senior team playing 20 minutes after) will be broadcast LIVE by my friend Kevin Trask and the team at The Northeast Sports Network.
Pete Tarrier & Kearsarge head coach Nate Camp will call both games, and you can watch it all live on NSNsports.net (we will have a link to the game right on our website the day of the game).
I will also be calling the games (coach/color commentator to be named later) for our usual highlights and the post-game with the entire New Hampshire senior & underclassman teams.
The schedule for the week is as follows:
Monday, May, 17th the two teams will practice from 6-9 pm at Oyster River high school, with the underclassman going from 6-7:30 and the seniors from 7:30-9.
Our talented videographer Nichole Marrero will be producing a video of both practices to be featured on our website and shared on our Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter pages.
On Tuesday, May 18th, the seniors will take on the underclassman in an intra-squad scrimmage at Epping high school. Game time is 6:30 pm.
Nichole will be producing a video of the scrimmage for our website and social media pages as well.
On Wednesday, May 19th, the two teams will again practice from 6 to 9 pm, this time at Epping high school.
On Thursday, May 20th, the doubleheader (spectators are limited to parents and guests) will begin at 6 pm at Oyster River high school.
Brad Zapenes, Keith Friel, and Peter Burkhart will be the game officials.
Finally, on Saturday, May 22nd the underclassman team will take on the BABC 9th & 10th-grade team at Londonderry high school.
The first game will start at noon, with the senior game against BABC’s 11th-grade team beginning 20 minutes after completing the first game.
Steve Burrows, Brad Zapenas, and Pete McKenney will be your game officials.
We will have all the highlights plus the post-game with both teams.
Spectators for all four games are limited to parents & guests only.
College and high school coaches interested in attending please reach out to me at davehaley@nhsportspage.com
Hopefully, we are back to full capacity for next year's games, but we can’t thank Oyster River, Epping, and Londonderry enough for hosting these games for the kids.
Our partners at York County Community College will be sponsoring the Maine games (visit their website at YCC.edu
Our partners at Core Physicians will be sponsoring the games against BABC (visit their website at CorePhysicians.com
The parents have been a HUGE part of making this all possible, and we will be thanking each and everyone who supported the kids in both our upcoming columns and game videos/highlights.
An update from Lance Legere on our first annual girls senior team
It has been a little over a month since we released our rosters for the first annual NHSportspage Girls Basketball Senior Team. The group chat is set up and the girls are all ready for one more high school basketball game.
We now have information on where this event will be taking place. The plan is to have the game take place on June 6th at 2 pm at Windham High School.
None of this would be possible without the help of Windham head coach Anne Haky, who helped set all of this up for us.
We also have an opponent to play against this star-studded roster. The senior team will match-up with the New England Crusaders Blue Star team in what should be a terrific showing of basketball.
We will have more details and information as we get closer to the event, but for now this is all. I am still so thrilled that in this hectic year we are able to pull this off for a group of deserving seniors.
Head coach Kevin Gibbs and assistant coach Brian Gray can't wait to get to work with this group.
I will have digital programs for all four boys games up on our website but until then the full rosters for both teams as well as Maine’s rosters are:
