The Pinkerton Academy Astros (11-2) won a hotly contested Softball game vs the Goffstown High School Grizzlies (4-6). The game was tied 3-3 going into the 7th before Pinkerton scored 4 straight runs to take a 7-3 lead into the bottom of the 7th. Goffstown was able to get one run back but ultimately fell short losing 7-4.
Goffstown was led by Noelle Simmons who went 2-2 with a walk and a double. Emily Peterson was able to bring Simmons home twice, with a sacrifice fly in the 3rd, and a single in the 7th. Tayler Watterson pitched the complete game ending with 7 strikeouts.
Pinkerton was led by Paige Ouelette who singled home a run in the first and doubled home a run in the 7th to take the lead. She would also score what would ultimately become the winning run in the 7th. Adi Runge and Olivia Mason hit back-to-back home runs in the 3rd, and each scored in the 7th to help provide 2 valuable insurance runs. Lily Mason also had a good game scoring twice.
