Tyler Hicks vs Phil Nichols did not disappoint as both aces were dealing on Thursday evening. It was deadlocked at 0-0 until the top of the 7th when White Mountains scored a run. Winnisquam was able to even the score in the bottom of the 7th and the game went to extra innings. It only took 1 extra inning for the game to be decided with the Spartans scoring in the top of the 8th. The Bears loaded the bases in the bottom of the 8th but relieve pitcher Brody Labounty was able to hold on for the win.
