The Souhegan Sabers kept their unbeaten season alive with an impressive, but somewhat subdued 28-6 win over Hanover. The score was 14-6 Souhegan late in the 1st half when Hanover QB Roger Lucas went down with an injury after a Bears running play.
Following a lengthy delay, an ambulance was called in and both teams were told to leave the field. Then the officials announced they were going to forgo the remaining 4:14 in the 2nd quarter and move the game right into halftime.
Souhegan (6-0) scored TDs on it's first 2 possessions in the 3rd quarter to pull away. Sophomore QB Romy Jain had 3 TD passes for the Sabers and RB JJ Bright added a TD run. Hanover RB Jeff Vidou impressed with some hard running for the Bears(5-1).
Here's the highlights of the game filmed and edited by NH Sportspage videographer Colin O'Neil featuring play-by-play from Pete Tarrier and a postgame interview with the entire Souhegan team.
