The DII state championship game this year was a rematch of a quarterfinal matchup from last season between Pelham and Pembroke.

 Pelham came out hot in this one firing shots on goal from everywhere. They rather quickly took a 1-0 lead against Pembroke off a goal from Ashlyn Walsh.

 Pembroke used chippy, and physical defense to make sure that the lead didn’t increase the entire game. Overall, Pelham fully controlled the pace in this one, and Pembroke couldn’t find a way to get a ball to go in the net.

 Pelham brought home their first state championship program history and avenged last year's quarterfinal shortcoming.
