The first game of the new year for girls' basketball here on  NHSportspage saw Gilford take on St. Thomas.

 These two teams went at it from the opening tip to the final buzzer. The intensity was high and the grit on display from both sides was remarkable. Neither team looked tired, and it stayed close throughout the entire game.

 However, Gilford earned and maintained a single-digit lead the entire game that St. Thomas couldn’t overcome. In a game that was back and forth, Gilford stood tall and walked out with a big win against a very good St. Thomas team. The final for the Golden Eagles was 42-38.
