A strong third quarter helps the Lancers pull of yet another first round upset

Like Londonderry alum Olivia Chau said last year, "we are right where we want to be," and the Lancers were right where they wanted to be tonight on the road at Windham.

Hannah Smith kickstarted the offense for the Jaguars scoring all 8 points for Windham in the first quarter to give them an early one-point lead.

The physicality was apparent in this one and helped Windham to a 19-17 lead at the half.

From the third quarter on it was all Londonderry. Windham did a great job of throwing two at freshman Sammie Sullivan any chance they got, but Brooke Eacret, Jordan Furlong, and Shannon Ball all hit their open looks, and point guard Regan Anderson was setting things up all night for Londonderry.

The second-half surge was the difference, with Londonderry advancing to the quarterfinals to take on Portsmouth with a 51-34 win.
