The Hawks storm back late to win a thriller over the Pioneers

Tuesday night featured an immediate classic between the Hopkinton Hawks and the Trinity Pioneers.

The scoring started early, with a deep shot from Kenzie Goldstein finding the back of the net to give Trinity the first lead. That score remained locked in place until Keegan St. Cyr was able to find the equalizer for Hopkinton late in the half. 1-1 remained the score at the halftime.

After a feeling-out period to start the second half Addie Bosworth made a terrific run spanning from the midfield, all the way into the 18-yard box. She finished the run by burying a shot into the bottom corner of the net, giving the Pioneers their second lead of the game.

The 2-1 lead held until the last 10 minutes of the game. Keegan St. Cyr evaded numerous defenders before nailing a high-difficulty shot into the net to bring the game back even. In the last minute, Hopkinton earned a free kick from 30 yards out. St. Cyr calmly stepped up and delivered a spectacular goal that narrowly fell under the crossbar. Hopkinton was able to kill the last 30 seconds and take home their 4th win of the season.
