The Pinkerton Astros went into Thursday's showdown with Hanover (9-5-2) knowing that they needed a win to secure a Top 8-seed and a home playoff game in the upcoming Division I tournament.

 The two teams played to a scoreless tie, with each team having scorling opportunities thwarted by goalies Maeve Gilligan of Pinkerton and Sadie Ross of Hanover, until Kathryn Bedard's game-winning game with ten minutes to go.
