The Patriots win the battle of the North Country to advance to the finals

It was a good Thursday night for soccer as #1 Profile & #4 Littleton made the drives down to Manchester for the Semi-Finals.

The game started back & forth with no significant chances for either side. That was changed when Katy McPhaul made an insane run that drew oohs, aahs, & ultimately huge applause as she fired a shot high into the sky that settled down inside the goal. That remained the difference maker at halftime as Profile held onto the 1-0 lead through the break.

The scoring broke open in the second half off a quick goal by Ella McPhaul in the bottom left corner. Profile played on their front foot all half with Ella McPhaul netting her second goal off assists from Natalie Brantley & Mya Brown. Taylor Weir had the final say though, as she scored off an expertly placed cross from Ella McPhaul, who ended her night with 2 goals and an assist.

Morgan Presby picked up the shutout, including a tough save on a ball that rolled all the way across the goal line to the far post. Profile finished off the game with a 4-0 win and really brought the energy post-game despite the cold conditions.

Profile will meet Newmarket as the two undefeated teams meet for the first time this season in the championship game!
