From the opening tip, Hopkinton made it a point to set the tone for how the night would pan out. First year head coach Mike Mahoney put the Hawks into a half court press that gave the Fall Mountain trouble all night long.

Led by Junior all-state guard Shaylee Murdough, Hopkinton looked to push the pace and run on the offensive side of the floor. Other contributions and key defensive plays from Keegan St. Cyr and Lizz Holmes helped seal the victory and improve the Hawks to 1-0 on the young season.
