Offense was hard to come by early on, with Stevens holding a narrow 13-12 lead at the break. 

 Shaylee Murdough took control of the game in the 3rd quarter, helping Hopkinton find a 28-21 heading into the 4th. 

 That run was quickly countered by a Kiley Bundy led run for the Cardinals to capture a lead late in the 4th. 

 Both sides would trade punches, but a Lizz Holmes layup and free throws sealed this one late to give the Hawks a 45-40 win.
