The Broncos strike late for their fourth straight win

It was a nail-biter on Monday night as (4-4) Alvirne played host to (4-5) Manchester Memorial.

The first couple minutes were very back and forth as both sides exchanged leads but it was the Broncos who pulled away in the final few minutes to take a 7 point lead into the break.

Manchester Memorial trailed by as much as 11 points in the 2nd quarter but the Crusaders were able to use a late run to go into halftime only down 25-20. They used another late run in the third quarter to cut the lead down once again, 35-34 entering the final frame.

Manchester Memorial would then take their first lead since the first few minutes in the early moments of the 4th quarter. The game remained incredibly close until Alvirne was able to force some steals and hit some late free throws to pull away. They won 47-43 to pick up their 4th straight win of the season.

Alvirne moves to 5-4 on the season. They were led by 20 points from Courtney Anderson & 13 points  from Ella Hartson.

Manchester Memorial drops to 4-6 on the year. They were paced by 16 points from Jocelyn Eosue, 14 points from NyAsia McKelvey, & 9 Points from Torle Adumene.
