It was a fun game in Hanover on Thursday night as the Bears played the Laconia Sachems in a quarter-final rematch from last season.

 The game was close with both teams exchanging leads regularly thru the first three quarters. A terrific sequence by Sydney McLaughlin saw her hit a nice pass-fake layup followed by a three-pointer for 5 quick points. This cut the lead to one point at the end of the third quarter.

 However, it was Laconia who came alive in the 4th, they forced numerous turnovers and were able to turn that into 16 fourth quarter points. Maddy Mousseau was able to ice the game with two steals and four made free throws. Laconia picked up their 7th straight win with a 51-39 final score. 

 Laconia moves to 9-1 on the season. They were lead by Macy Swormstedt who scored 24 points. They also got key contributions by Mehkia Burton, 14 points, and Maddy Mousseau, 10 points. 

 Hanover drops to 6-4 on the season. Sydney McLaughlin, Allie McBride, & Claire Starosta combined to score 29 of their team’s 39 points.
