A game that we all knew would be evenly matched proved to be just that. Merrimack Valley began the game defending their home court with pride making Pelham commit multiple turnovers and gaining a lead that would last the entire first quarter and most of the second.

 Pelham was fighting hard and made everything harder for Merrimack Valley as the game progressed. It felt as if the longer the game went the better Pelham got.

 Both teams traded the lead in the third but Merrimack closed with it to end the third. Merrimack Valley fought very hard to gain it back but Pelham had an answer to everything.

 They held onto their lead as the final buzzer sounded. Pelham got a tough 46-40 on the road. But both teams showed that they can compete in Division iI.
