The Cougars earn a wire-to-wire win over the top seed to advance to the finals

Two of Division III's best battled it out for a spot in the Division III championship and certainly did not disappoint.

Offensive rebounds were crucial for the Cougars early, with Miranda Anderson being a big part of that effort getting the spot start tonight in the Kearsarge lineup.

The Tessa Marinello-Emilie von der Linden matchup was as good as expected as both did all they could to keep their teams in this one early.

Genna Bolduc and Emma Toriello would hit back-to-back threes to cut the Saints deficit to just four at the half, 24-20.

Ava Shapiro and Ociee Ilg would come through big time in the third quarter, hitting big shots from deep to propel the Cougars forward.

The Saints made a push late, but Marinello helped seal the deal for Kearsarge in the fourth quarter.

Kearsarge advances to the Division III Championship with a 52-44, and will face #2 Hopkinton on Saturday night and Keene State College.
