Week 1 Candidates-

Payton Bryson of Bishop Brady- Playing multiple positions due to injuries, the junior shortstop/pitcher pitched well against undefeated St Thomas (allowing only four earned runs). Still, it was what she did at the plate that stood out. In four games, Bryson went 10 for 12 with two home runs, a triple, and a double for the 6-2 Giants.

Ava Rivers of John Stark—In three games last week for the Generals, Rivers went 5 for 9 at the plate, including a two-run homer, scored five runs, and had six putouts defensively, including a Double play.

Evie Maitre of Hanover—The senior had three multiple-hit games last week as Hanover went 2-1. Maitre hit .583 with seven hits and 8 RBIs and made several great defensive plays at 1B with no errors.

Delaney Duford of Concord- The all-state catcher had a huge week for the Tide. Going 3 for 4 with a pair of RBIs against Dover, 3 for 4 with two RBIs against Alvirne, and three for four with two home runs against Goffstown as Concord improved to 12-1 on the season.

Lily Cornell of Franklin- The Golden Tornadoes all-state pitcher was tremendous last week. She recorded 42 strikeouts in three games as she closed in (she is twenty-eight away) on 500 career strikeouts. At the plate she added five hits and four RBIs for Franklin.

Elizabeth Flynn of St Thomas- The Saints have been the best team in Division III this season, and the senior shortstop has played a pivotal role. In three games last week Flynn went 6 for 11 at the plate with a double, a triple, scoring four runs and knocking in four more. She also added a stolen base to her resume for the week.

Summer LeClerc of Exeter—In a 3-0 week for the Blue Hawks, LeClerc had six hits, including three doubles, one triple, and a home run, while knocking in eight runs. No hit was bigger than her game-tying two-run homer in the 7th inning against Windham on Saturday. LeClerc then added a double in the 9th inning to advance the winning run to third base. Defensively, she had seven assists and two putouts with no errors.
