Two teams who faced off in the regular season that ended in a tie needed a winner. A winner that would decide a state champion and it was battle throughout the entire contest.

Both teams rode waves of momentum with neither able to score on the other's tough line of defense. However it all came down to a penalty kick from Profile's Ella McPhaul. Without this kick in the second half OT was certainly in the future. But the Patriots were able to prevail in regulation and secure back to back state titles.
