Pinkerton Academy closed out its season in the best way possible — a straight-set win over Dover to claim the school’s first Division I volleyball championship.
The Astros came out sharp and stayed that way. They passed well, served tough, and controlled the pace from start to finish. Every player knew their role, and it felt like nothing rattled them.
Dover didn’t make it easy. The Green Wave have been one of the toughest, most resilient teams in the tournament, taking down higher seeds and proving they could hang with anyone. They defended hard and kept battling, but Pinkerton’s consistency and depth were the difference.
After finishing as runners-up last season, the Astros left no doubt this time. A composed, complete performance — and a well-earned championship on their home court.
