Merrimack and Manchester Central each advanced Tuesday

Manchester Central held off Bedford 51-47 Tuesday night to advance past the opening round of the BST Summer Madness playoffs. Brett Hanson again led the way with 24 points for the Little Green while Mike Plentzas added 11.
 

Jake Capistran finished off a strong summer for the Bulldogs as he led the way with 16 points in the loss.

In another tight game it was Bishop Brady getting past Nashua North 53-47 as Jourdain Bell & Brenden Johnson combined for 30 points. Jose Castillo led the Titans with 13 points. Merrimack cruised into the second round with a 52-22 win over a rebuilding Newmarket team. Austin Franzen led the Tomahawks with 12 while Sam Leahy led the Mules with 9.  It was Tewskbury (MA) with a 43-30 win over Lawrence (MA) 43-30 in a battle of teams south of the border. Alex Dirocco led the way with 13 points while Justin Derrah added 11 for the winners.
