Liam McNicholas led Hopkinton to a playoff win

Hopkinton pulled off an impressive 72-66 win over NYDL-Navy Thursday night to advance to the second round of the BST Summer Madness Playoffs.
 

 Hopkinton pulled off an impressive 72-66 win over NYDL-Navy Thursday night to advance to the second round of the BST Summer Madness Playoffs.

 Gabe Nichols exploded for 23 points while Jamison Crouch added 16 and Liam McNicholas 14 in the win. NYDL-White is done for the seaon and was led by Goffstown's Tim Riehl with 17 and 16 from Players' Lounge member Connor Walsh. In other action Bishop Guertin rolled to a 58-23 win over Milford that sets up a second round match-up with Merrimack on Tuesday night. Defense was the story for BG all night, they were led offensively by guard Jack Zimmerman with 13 points and 10 from Joe Maranola.

 In the game of the night Division I Concord went back & forth with Division IV Derryfield School before pulling out a 41-39 victory. Seimou Smith was the high scorer for the Tide with 12 points while the Cougars were led by 12 points from Max Anderson and 10 from center Roger Larrivee. In the fourth game of the night NYDL-White cruised to a 101-32 win over John Stark. Tim Riehl (19 points), Joe Bell (17), Connor Walsh (15), Corey Descoteaux (14), Marcus Haynes (11) and Aaron Svendsen (10) all scored in double figures in the win while Zach Gagnon had 10 points for John Stark.
