Jourdain Bell & younger brother Joe, each named to the Division II All-state team in 2014, will attend Lee Academy in the fall.

 Bishop Brady was the favorite to win the 2015 title before the move but whispers of one or both brothers attending prep school have been prevelant for years. Here is the press release from the family;

"Jourdain and Joseph Bell have committed to attend and play preparatory basketball for Lee Academy, in Lee Maine, starting fall 2014…. Jourdain will reclassify to the class of 2016, Joseph to the class of 2017.

  We are looking forward to the opportunity provided to us by Coach Igor Vrzina and the rest of the Lee Academy community.  The intense daily routine, high level practice/game schedule and the attention to detail paid to player development provided by Coach Vrzina will help us to attain our goals of playing at the highest of levels.

We would like to thank the St. Andrews School, Kimball Union Academy and The Tilton School for their Interest and hospitality through the process, all are great schools with incredible coaching staffs!

We would like to thank our development coach Brett Sellingham of BST Basketball, when we started in the BST-NYDL development program three years ago, we expressed our interest in attending prep school, he put a development plan together and provided us the opportunities to make it happen. He was most helpful in having us look at all things important when exploring potential schools, not just the basketball portion of it but more important the academics and campus life.  With his help through the process we feel we will get what we need both on the court, socially and in the classroom at Lee Academy, we are excited about the opportunities the lie ahead.

"Last and most important.....We would also like to thank Bishop Brady HS, and Coach Yeaton, we have had a tremendous time at Brady, in which we have learned alot… Our coaches and teachers have been awesome, we will forever consider them family!!  Making the decision to leave for prep school was very difficult… but the opportunities presented to us at Lee Academy were just too good to pass up. We wish everyone at Brady, including all our teammates the very best….they will still be very strong next year… Go Giants!!"
