Our two part final Thursday Thoughts will be coming next week along with our two NHsportspage season highlight videos.

Today we recognize the top performances in Division I basketball for the 2015-16 season.

 NHsportspage First Team All-State
 Jaylen Leroy of Manchester Central
 DJ Frechette of Nashua South
 Bryant Holmes of Exeter
 Nate Hale of Nashua North
 Matt Rizzo of Pinkerton Academy

 Second Team All-State
Brennan Morris of Pinkerton Academy
Ronnie Silva of Nashua North
Jake Coleman of Londonderry
Liam Viviano of Winnacunnet
Cal Connelly of Spaulding

Third Team All-State
Brandon Scott of Manchester Memorial
Evan MacDonald of Manchester Central
Cody Morissette of Exeter
Matt Vartanian of Salem
Connor Walsh of Trinity

Comments: Man I really hate leaving Jonathin Makori out of the Top 3 teams but who is he pushing out? I think Viviano got a bit overlooked and an argument can be made that Morissette (who opposing coaches’ rave about) should be on second team. I’ll send myself an angry email…

Player of the Year: Jaylen Leroy

Leroy was the player of the year even before the championship game with Merrimack tipped off but it was great to see him take over the game late in the fourth quarter and into overtime. That’s what big time players do..

Coach the Year:  Jay McKenna of Winnacunnet

Really good coaches don’t push their system on to a talented group they adapt to the strengths of the group. That’s exactly what McKenna did with a Warriors team who surprised everyone but themselves in getting to Durham.

Runner-up: Tim Goodridge of Merrimack

The all-Angry Email team (players that could have made the top three all-state teams but didn't and angry emails will be written to say just that...)

Logan Galanes of Keene
Tommy Romick of Pinkerton Academy
Ben Olson of Pinkerton Academy
Matt Giroux of Concord
