We are excited to share the launch of our brand new website with all of readers. A lot of work has gone on behind the scenes to move to a website easier to navigate for our readers and with new capabilities for both apps and mobile devices. Eliot Bless has played a huge role in making all of this happen and today I wanted to quickly let our readers know what this all means for you.

When will all the new features be available?

We are still adding content and features all the time. What the website looks like today will be very different by the time we get to September, so as the saying goes please excuse our appearance as we renovate.

Do I need to be registered to see the website?

No, but there will be content that can only be viewed by our paid registration members beginning in September.

Those members will get an email in August that will allow them to register for their user name and password and they will have unlimited access to our content. That restricted content will begin in September but NHsportspage will still be available for all of our readers.

Did Justin McIsaac really miss covering the Twin State basketball game and CHAD All-Star game to cover Roller Derby?

Yes.

Did he also interview coaches at the recent Coaches Summit using Hulk Hogan’s wrestling voice?

Again, yes.

So same content as previous years?

No! We are adding more features this year including;

  • Justin McIsaac’s Top 10 on everything and anything every other Monday from September thru April.
  • Pete Tarrier will have his Football and Basketball Power Rankings (a breeding ground for angry emails & tweets) every other Monday as well, giving you a new column every Monday morning.
  • On Tuesday’s I will have a new feature where I use blind quotes from opposing coaches to break down four to five teams (football & basketball) every week. Building on our semifinal scouting reports we have done for years and a column that has grown to be one of our most popular features. This will be a feature available only to our registered users and Gold Level members.
  • On Wednesday’s Justin McIsaac and I will tape and post a weekly podcast that will cover all the high school sports news of the day and anything from Muppets to aliens that jumps in our head.
  • Thursday’s will again feature my Thursday Thoughts. Highlighting the biggest games of the weekend.
  • Friday’s will feature game of the week coverage as well as our staff picks.
  • Saturday’s will have box scores from all over the state (in basketball they are updated every day as well as The New Hampshire High School Hoop and Football Show with Pete Tarrier and myself.
  • We’re resting on Sunday’s….

Will Girls basketball be covered this year?

Yes. We received minimal support for the girls to get the same coverage as the boys but we will continue to grow that interest in the 2016-17 season.

We will have standings and for the first time, box scores and scoring leaders for all four divisions this season with our newest staff member Reed Grubbs leading our coverage.

Are you ever mailing out the NHSportsPage t-shirts?

Yes, I swear on McIsaac’s wrestling voice.

In addition we have added a new videographer (Becky Howland) as well as a new play by play announcer (The legendary Matt Corsetti) to bring even more game coverage next season to you. We also will be covering a few girls’ basketball games as well and highlighting the programs that have supported the girls’ coverage.

All of these added features, and there are even more to be announced this summer, is all due to our new partnerships with several New Hampshire colleges and businesses that wanted to support the coverage of high school athletes all over the state of New Hampshire as well as our thousands of readers.

We will also be announcing a new partnership that will bring LIVE broadcasts of football and basketball to the entire state. Stay tuned for that..

2017 is going to be our biggest in our nine year history and we couldn’t be more excited to bring it to you.

Our coverage resumes next week when we tape our 3rd Annual Coaches Show at The Southside Tavern in Manchester featuring one coach from all four basketball divisions.

Pete Tarrier, the newly married Jennifer Chick and I will be joined by Jay McKenna of Winnacunnet, Matt Regan of Pelham, Nate Camp of Kearsarge Regional and Sam Natti of Lisbon.
