Sophomore Alex Cheek of Gilford-Belmont joins the locker room

Every Monday throughout the season we will recap the performances of our Players Locker Room members.

These are the players whose families became a part of our team by registering for full access to our content and in large part, to support six people bringing coverage to kids, parents, fans & coaches all over New Hampshire.

These are our Players Locker Room members and we hope it is a fraternity that will continue to grow as more families come on board. We had 80 members of the Locker Room last season and would love to reach 100 in our 11th year.

Locker Room athletes, make sure you are sending in your profile pictures and videos you’d like added on your profile/recruiting page.

We are welcoming three new members to the locker room this week!

Quarterback Alex Cheek of the alma mater, Keegan Mills the all-state do everything RB/LB for defending champion Campbell and Plymouth captain (RB/DB) Patrick Malm.

Alex Cheek of Gilford-Belmont The sophomore quarterback and his teammates faced the reigning champs Saturday afternoon and struggled in a 40-28 loss. Cheek completed 9 of 25 passes for 75 yards and 2 TDs while also rushing for 53 yards. A very good test for a very young football team.

Patrick Malm of Plymouth: The senior captain had a big day in a 40-28 win over previously unbeaten Gilford-Belmont, finding the endzone twice in rushing for 88 yards on 7 carries. Malm also recovered two fumbles in the victory, returning one for a touchdown. Giving him 3 touchdowns on the day.

Keegan Mills of Campbell: Stop me if you’ve heard this before but Mills had a huge game last weekend against Epping/Newmarket. The junior rushed for 201 yards and 4 touchdowns, threw for 28 yards, made 8 tackles, ran the 50/50 raffle at halftime and led a family of ducklings safely across the road after the game.

Will Michaud of Salem: Michaud again led a dominant Salem defensive effort in a 41-13 win over Portsmouth-Oyster River Friday night. In addition, Michaud also had a 13 yard carry on offense.

Dante Young of Nashua South: Anytime you are the quarterback for a team that scores 60 points….it was a good week. Young put up great numbers in that win; completing 8 of 9 passes for 112 yards and 2 touchdowns while also scoring 2 TDs running the ball as South improved to 2-1.

Carter Vedrani of Campbell: The all-state defensive end/linebacker had 6 tackles against Epping-Newmarket and added a 24-yard reception on offense. We will be in Laconia Friday night when the champs take on Laconia.

Connor Zorn of Hollis-Brookline: Zorn did not have a reception in a 42-0 win over Con Val but the Cavaliers improved to 2-1 on the season with the win. Manchester West is next on the schedule Friday night.

Owen Kane of Portsmouth: The Clippers captain and leader of the secondary had 2 catches for 14 yards in a loss to Salem Friday night.

Kyle Baker of Bishop Guertin Football: The 6’2 200 lb. defensive end/tight end had a good day for BG in making 4 tackles on defense to go along with 2 receptions for 62 yards on offense.

Other members of the Locker Room include:

 Kevin Henry of Exeter Basketball

 Jake Drew of Conant Basketball

Lucas Baker of Bishop Guertin Basketball
