Groveton and Colebrook battled it out on Saturday afternoon in front of a packed house.
The Eagles took control of the momentum early on with Katelyn Desilets leading the charge to a 9-5 first quarter lead.
Samantha Howe finally got going in the second quarter after the Mohawks struggled on the offensive end to start things. Colebrook took a 20-17 lead into the half.
Nodia Davenport fueled a third quarter run for Groveton and tied things up at 25-25 midway through the quarter.
From then on, the full-court pressure of Colebrook was the momentum swing that they needed and went on to win the contest 49-35.
In the 4th quarter, Sage Smith went to the line and netted career point 1,000 and 1,001. Congrats to Sage on a great accomplishment!
